Check out those amazing 3d pencil artworks

Dutch photographer Ramon Bruin is the brains behind some mind-blowing optical illusions. Having a degree in airbrushing (what a cool thing to have!), he uses this skill extensively in his works. His lifelike creations deceive the viewer’s eyes – while some elements in the photos are truly three-dimensional, others only seem that way. Looked at from specific angles, Bruin’s sketches seem to come to life, and amazingly appear to pop out of the screen. Shockingly, this unique artist doesn’t need much to create this magic – some pencils and white paper will do. Part of the trick is based on the angles the photos were taken from, another is the well-planned interaction between the 2D and 3D elements, and last but not least – it’s mainly ours eyes that are deceiving us!
